"Korean Anchovies – Coloring New York"

Chae Soo-Pyung’s solo exhibition, "Korean Anchovies – Coloring New York," is more than just an art display—it is a significant event showcasing the essence of contemporary Korean art on the global stage. This exhibition is part of "Project 14C," a residency program in collaboration with Chelsea’s AP Gallery and AM Gallery. As the 21st solo exhibition of Chae Soo-Pyung, it represents the pinnacle of his artistic journey. Notably, this exhibition reinterprets Korean anchovies symbolically, embedding a philosophical message that explores nature, humanity, and the inner world.

New York's AM Gallery is hosting a special exhibition to welcome the New Year, celebrating the dawn of both Korea and New York by inviting five prominent contemporary artists. The exhibition, titled Brilliantly Colorful, will be held from March 4 to March 10 at AM Gallery in Chelsea, New York, featuring five actively working artists: Kim Dong-seok, Kim Joo-young, Doi, Lee Dae-hyung, and Lee Seung.

Kim Dong-seok is an artist who explores life and its origins, working across painting and installation with a contemplative approach to existence. In his recent exhibitions, he has worked under the theme Sound-Resonance, reconstructing Hangul consonants and vowels to foster interaction between the audience and his work.
